Hey everyone!
As you know I started posting updates to my blog at the beginning of the year to help hole me accountable. Well I finished the first 12 week program, which ended up being more of a 16 week program with everything that has been going on this year. My family and I moved out of our apartment, I’m still working on my masters, and COVID-19 came and took over everyone’s livesπ€¦π½ββοΈ.
Due to being in quarantine, I haven’t always eaten the way that I should have. Sometimes I didn’t eat enough, and it’s not intentional. Kairo and I are at my mom’s house at the moment, mainly because this is where we were before the government decided to shut everything down. My mom and I have different tastes in food. She wants to eat whatever she feels like eating, and that’s perfectly fine. It’s usually something I would also eat. The problem is, when I’m tracking my macros, some of the stuff she wants may not be beneficial for me. For example, if I only ate what she makes, I would never hit my daily protein goal, which is hard for someone trying to build muscle.
I’m out of work at the moment and my mom is working from home, so I can’t be too picky if she’s the one paying for groceries. These are just some of the challenges thrown at me over the past few months. But I have been able to overcome them from time to time, by purchasing foods and supplements high in protein like Kodiak Cakes and PEScience protein powder.
You all know I love my baby boy, he’s 7 months old now. He’s crawling all over the place, going from one room to the next, to the next, to the next π . He’s getting into EVERYTHING, so I have to keep my eye on him. I guess I can thank him too though because he definitely served as a free weight during some of these quarantine workouts, whether I wanted him to or not π. He likes to climb on me while I doing planks, which forces me to keep my core tight, so I guess it’s okay lol. He has found the art of dancing, but has yet to master how to move forward in his walker π.
